Here are some Videos and the results.
LI Open 2010
We sent 6 competitors to the Long Island Open on April 25 2010. Everyone did an awesome job. Here are the results:
Intermediate 7-9 year olds
Elizabet Gunther took 2nd place in weapons and third place in forms. This was a big division with over 15 competitors in each category.
Aidan(Bulls-eye) Morgan Took third place in sparring.
Intermediate 10-12 year olds
Jennifer Gunther Swept both of her divisions taking first place in weapons and first place in forms
Jaclyn Mauro competing for the first time took second place in weapons
Joe "Lefty" Gunther had an excellent showing in the 10 -12 year old division. In weapons he knocked his glasses off and lost some points but kept on performing and he did an awesome job performing his new form in the kata division.
Advanced 13 and 14 year olds
Gina D'Angelo took first in weapons after having to perform her kata twice due to the fact that the judges forgot to remove the mats from the previous self defense division. Gina also placed second in forms after a close first place tie breaker.
Unfortunately due to schedule conflicts Vincent Scarduzio Could not attend the LI open. He did however have another stellar performance at the Quebec Open.

Karate, Kickboxing in East Northport Mothers Day Special
May is Mothers Month here at East Coast Karate and to celebrate we are offering 1 month of FREE Kenpo Karate and/or Kickboxing to Any and All Mothers.
Teaching the martial arts for close to 20 years I have seen the thankless job mothers do day in and day out. At times this job can go unappreciated between the cooking, getting the kids ready for school, bringing the kids to karate or any other activity, helping with homework and so much more.
Doing all these things day in and day out can be very stressful so what we at ECK would like to do is help you relieve some of that stress in a healthy way. This is for ALL mothers who have never trained with us at ECK and would like to try our kickboxing for fitness programs or our full martial arts program which includes kickboxing as well as the most practical self defense you will find anywhere.
These are unlimited programs and you are welcome to come as many times as you like. We have kickboxing classes both during the day and evening to help match any schedule. Our martial arts program is also very flexible and includes a 1/2 hour private class every week.
Moms you really can't lose with this one. You can try a full month for free with no obligation at all. If you like the results we would love to have you stay and join our family here, if not we are happy to have shared this time with you and wish you all the best. Every mom deserves some time for herself so why not use it to get in to the best shape of your life.
